About the Waste to Wonder Workshop

What to Expect at the Workshop
The Waste to Wonder workshop is structured around learning, demonstration, and hands-on creativity.
Introduction to Upcycling and Sustainable Art
The workshop begins with an introduction to upcycling, recycling, and sustainable art. Participants will learn about the concept of giving discarded materials a new purpose instead of treating them simply as waste.
Upcycling can turn everyday discarded materials into objects with artistic and functional value. Through the workshop, participants can explore how this approach can be applied to miniature art using reclaimed metal.
Live Demonstration
A live demonstration will introduce participants to the basic process involved in creating metal miniature artwork. The demonstration provides a visual understanding of how reclaimed metal materials can be handled and transformed into creative forms.
This makes the workshop easier to follow, particularly for beginners who may have never worked with metal materials before.
Guided Hands-On Session
Following the demonstration, participants will take part in a guided practical session. You will have the opportunity to work with reclaimed metal materials and explore the process of creating your own miniature artwork.
The hands-on format allows participants to learn by doing while receiving guidance throughout the activity.

The Waste to Wonder concept encourages participants to look at waste differently. Rather than seeing discarded metal only as something to be thrown away, the workshop introduces the possibility of transforming it into something personal and artistic.
This makes the experience relevant not only to art lovers but also to people interested in sustainability, recycling, creative reuse, and responsible consumption.
A Creative and Sustainable Experience
Waste to Wonder combines two ideas that are increasingly important in contemporary creative practices: artistic expression and sustainability.
The workshop provides an opportunity to spend time away from routine activities while learning a new craft. The hands-on nature of the session encourages participants to experiment with materials, follow creative guidance, and develop their own artwork.
