About the Toran Painting Workshop

A toran is a traditional decorative hanging commonly placed at entrances and doorways during festivals and special occasions. It adds colour and a welcoming touch to a home, making it a popular element of festive decoration.
The Toran Painting Workshop by Hobby Ghar gives participants an opportunity to create their own personalised version of this traditional decoration. Instead of purchasing a ready-made piece, attendees can experiment with colours, patterns, and decorative details to design something that reflects their individual style.
The two-hour session focuses on hands-on creativity in a welcoming environment. Participants can explore traditional Indian motifs and festive patterns while learning how to decorate a toran with the materials provided. Step-by-step guidance will help attendees work through the activity, making it suitable for beginners as well as those who already enjoy art and craft projects.
The workshop is organised in collaboration with Cafe Coffee Day at Whitefield, Bengaluru. It offers a creative festive activity for families, friends, and individuals looking to spend time making something useful and decorative.
