Symphony of Santoor

Symphony of Santoor is a landmark musical production conceived and led by Pt. Rahul Shivkumar Sharma, presenting the Santoor in a spectacular symphonic format for the first time in India. Rooted in Indian classical tradition, the production expands the instrument’s expressive range through rich, contemporary orchestral arrangements.

One of the most ambitious Santoor-led productions ever staged, the performance features a 35-member international chamber orchestra accompanying the iconic 100-stringed Santoor. The music journeys seamlessly across Indian classical ragas, Western classical harmonies, jazz textures, and timeless Bollywood melodies—creating a truly global sound experience.

The orchestra is conducted by Samuel Tamarit Otero of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Pardubice, bringing international artistry and precision to this unique collaboration.
