About Event
Swap Sante by The Social Lubricant – Clothing, Jewellery & Book Swap at Treehouse Indiranagar
About the Event
Your wardrobe has pieces you no longer reach for. Your bookshelf has stories you have already finished. Somewhere across the city, someone else might be looking for exactly what you are ready to let go.
Swap Sante by The Social Lubricant brings a fresh and social approach to refreshing your wardrobe and bookshelf this festive season.
Taking place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM, this relaxed afternoon gathering invites you to bring clothing, jewellery and books that you no longer use and exchange them for something new to you.
With Diwali around the corner, it is a perfect opportunity to revisit your wardrobe and bring along festive and ethnic pieces such as kurtas, sarees, bangles and other accessories. Everyday wear, workwear and other pieces in good condition are welcome too.
The event is not only about exchanging things. Swap Sante is also about discovering the stories behind what people wear and read, meeting new people and creating conversations around fashion, books, personal style and the things we choose to hold on to.
You can swap up to five clothing and jewellery pieces, while books can be brought and swapped with no limit.
Unswapped pieces will be donated, giving them an opportunity to find a second life rather than remaining unused.
The experience takes place at Treehouse Indiranagar, creating a setting for a sunlit afternoon of browsing, exchanging, connecting and enjoying complementary drinks.
Bring your favourite finds. Leave with something unexpected. Meet people through the stories behind what we wear and read.
What Is Swap Sante?
Swap Sante is a social clothing, jewellery and book exchange created by The Social Lubricant.
Instead of simply buying something new, participants can bring items from their own collections and discover pieces that other people are ready to pass on.
The concept gives pre-loved belongings another chance while encouraging participants to rethink how they interact with fashion, books and personal style.
At the same time, the event creates a natural environment for conversation.
A saree can have a story.
A book can have a memory.
A piece of jewellery can remind someone of a particular phase of life.
Swap Sante creates a space where those stories can become part of the social experience.
Refresh Your Wardrobe This Festive Season
With Diwali around the corner, Swap Sante is an opportunity to look through your wardrobe and rediscover pieces you may have stopped wearing.
Festive and ethnic pieces are especially welcome.
You could bring:
Kurtas
Sarees
Bangles
Jewellery
Ethnic wear
Everyday clothing
Workwear
Other clothing and accessories in good condition
The idea is not simply to clear out your wardrobe.
It is to bring pieces that may be ready for a new owner and discover something that feels new to you.
Swap Up to 5 Clothing and Jewellery Pieces
Participants can bring and swap up to five clothing and jewellery pieces.
This gives you the flexibility to choose a small selection of items that you genuinely no longer use but that may be useful or exciting to someone else.
You can look through your wardrobe before the event and identify pieces that fit the swap theme while making sure they are in good condition.
The emphasis is on giving good-quality pre-loved items another opportunity to be enjoyed.
Bring Books With No Limit
Books have a special place in the Swap Sante experience.
Unlike clothing and jewellery, the supplied event details state that books can be brought and swapped with no limit.
This opens up plenty of possibilities.
Bring books you have finished reading.
Bring titles you no longer plan to revisit.
Bring stories you would like someone else to discover.
Then browse the books brought by other participants and see what catches your attention.
The bookshelf swap adds another dimension to the afternoon, creating opportunities to connect over favourite authors, genres, stories and reading memories.
Festive, Ethnic and Everyday Pieces Welcome
Swap Sante is not limited to festive clothing.
While the Diwali season makes festive and ethnic pieces especially relevant, the event also welcomes everyday wear and workwear.
This means your contribution can come from different parts of your wardrobe.
A festive kurta.
A saree you no longer wear.
A workwear piece that has been sitting untouched.
A piece of jewellery that deserves to be worn again.
The focus is on items that are in good condition and ready to find a new home.
Discover Pre-Loved Fashion and Unique Finds
One of the most enjoyable parts of a swap event is not knowing exactly what you will discover.
Unlike shopping from a fixed catalogue, a clothing and jewellery swap is shaped by the people who attend.
That means the selection can be unexpected.
You may discover a style you would not normally have searched for.
You may find an accessory that works perfectly with something already in your wardrobe.
You may come across a book that someone else loved and is now ready to pass on.
The element of discovery is central to the Swap Sante experience.
Meet People Through What We Wear and Read
Swap Sante goes beyond the physical exchange of items.
The event encourages participants to connect through the stories behind what they wear, read and hold onto.
A piece of clothing can lead to a conversation about personal style.
A book can become the starting point for discussing favourite stories.
A unique find can become an opportunity to ask someone where it came from.
These small interactions can make the afternoon feel more personal and social than a conventional shopping or browsing experience.
A Social Afternoon With a Creative Twist
Swap Sante creates an environment where the activity itself naturally encourages interaction.
You are not simply walking through racks.
You are exploring items brought by other people, deciding what appeals to you, talking about discoveries and perhaps sharing the story behind something you brought.
This combination of fashion, books, creativity and conversation gives the event its social identity.
Unswapped Pieces Get a Second Life
Not every item may find a new owner during the event.
The supplied event description addresses that by stating that unswapped pieces will be donated.
This means items that remain after the exchange can still have an opportunity to reach someone who may value them.
The donation element adds another dimension to the concept of passing things forward rather than leaving them unused.
A More Thoughtful Way to Refresh Your Collection
Refreshing a wardrobe or bookshelf does not always require buying something new.
Sometimes, the most interesting additions come from someone else's collection.
Swap Sante creates a setting where participants can experiment with that idea.
Instead of shopping only for new products, you can discover pre-loved fashion, jewellery and books through a community exchange.
The experience combines discovery with participation.
Enjoy a Sunlit Afternoon at Treehouse Indiranagar
The event takes place at Treehouse Indiranagar, providing the setting for the afternoon.
The supplied event description presents the experience as a sunlit afternoon, with attendees encouraged to arrive with their favourite finds and enjoy a drink while exploring the swap.
The venue becomes a backdrop for browsing, conversations, exchanges and social connections.
Complementary Drinks and Relaxed Conversations
The event description also includes complementary drinks as part of the afternoon experience.
This adds another social element to the gathering, giving participants an opportunity to relax and continue conversations while taking a break from browsing and swapping.
Alcoholic beverages, if available, are subject to the applicable legal drinking age and valid age-proof requirements stated in the ticket terms.
A Festive Experience With a Sustainable Spirit
The event takes place just before Diwali, making the festive wardrobe element particularly relevant.
At the same time, swapping pre-loved items provides an alternative way of refreshing personal collections.
Instead of automatically discarding things you no longer use, the event encourages you to pass them forward and discover something else in return.
This gives the experience a social and reuse-oriented character without taking away from the fun of finding something unexpected.

Clothing, Jewellery and Books With Stories
Every item brought to a swap event has a history.
A saree may have been worn at a special celebration.
A book may have travelled through several homes.
A piece of jewellery may have once been a favourite accessory.
These stories are part of what makes pre-loved objects interesting.
Swap Sante turns those stories into a reason to connect with other people.
The Joy of Unexpected Finds
A swap event has an element of surprise because participants do not know exactly what will appear.
You might arrive with one type of item in mind and leave with something completely different.
You might find a colour you would not normally choose.
You might discover a book from a genre you have never tried.
You might come across an accessory that becomes your favourite piece.
The possibility of unexpected discovery is part of the fun.
A Community-Led Swap Experience
The selection at Swap Sante is shaped by its participants.
Every person contributes something different, which means the overall collection changes from event to event.
This makes the experience more dynamic than browsing a traditional shop.
The community itself becomes the source of the items and the stories behind them.
From Wardrobe Clear-Out to New Favourite
An item sitting unused in your cupboard may still have plenty of life left in it.
Swap Sante creates a way to move it along.
Instead of remaining untouched, a good-condition piece can become someone else's new favourite.
The same applies to books and jewellery.
The exchange gives pre-loved items another opportunity to be appreciated.
