About Event
Kintsugi, the latest creation from Sampradaya Dance Creations, draws its inspiration from the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold. Just as the art form turns cracks into beauty, this production transforms experiences of hurt and healing into a moving portrayal of resilience, identity, and inner strength.
Against the backdrop of a fractured and divided world, Kintsugi retells enduring stories from the Mahabharata, linking them to the emotional breaks we face today—grief, longing, and renewal. Through dance, music, and mythology, the work becomes a glowing symbol of how the human soul survives, restores itself, and becomes whole again.
“By interpreting these age-old narratives through the lens of Kintsugi, we bring the past into conversation with the present. The production reflects how people, across cultures and eras, continue to rebuild and rejuvenate.”
Step into Kintsugi—where philosophy is woven into movement, and every crack reveals a new thread of golden transformation.
