Deep grooves. Hypnotic rhythms. Underground energy. Welcome to TIMELAPSE.

What Is TIMELAPSE?

TIMELAPSE is an electronic music experience centred around deep, melodic, progressive and driving sounds.

The event draws inspiration from underground electronic music and artists associated with Habitat, Siamese and Watergate.

The focus is on creating a carefully curated musical progression rather than simply presenting unrelated tracks.

The music is intended to develop naturally throughout the evening, creating changes in mood, intensity and energy while maintaining a cohesive sound.

For electronic music enthusiasts, this creates an opportunity to immerse themselves in rhythm and sound while experiencing the energy of a live venue.

Deep Grooves and Hypnotic Rhythms

At the heart of TIMELAPSE are deep grooves and hypnotic rhythms.

Deep electronic music often creates its atmosphere through rhythm, repetition and gradual layering. Instead of rushing towards one particular moment, the music can build continuously and keep listeners engaged.

The hypnotic quality of the sound forms an important part of the TIMELAPSE identity.

The idea is to allow the rhythm to take over as the evening develops, creating a continuous experience that keeps the audience connected to the music.

Melodic Electronic Music

TIMELAPSE also explores the melodic side of electronic music.

Melodic sounds can introduce atmospheric textures, evolving harmonies and musical layers that complement the deeper rhythmic foundation.

This adds another dimension to the night, balancing the hypnotic grooves with sounds that can feel expansive and immersive.

The result is a musical experience that moves across different shades of electronic music while maintaining a consistent atmosphere.

Progressive Electronic Sounds

The event also draws inspiration from progressive electronic music.

Progressive sounds are often associated with gradual transitions, evolving structures and musical development over time.

This quality contributes to the idea behind TIMELAPSE — a night where the music does not remain static but continues to move forward.

As the evening develops, the sound can shift naturally between deeper passages, melodic moments and more driving sections.

Driving Rhythms and Electronic Energy

Alongside deep and melodic sounds, TIMELAPSE brings a driving electronic edge to the experience.

Driving rhythms can add momentum and energy to the atmosphere while retaining the deeper character of the music.

This creates room for the night to move between atmospheric sections and more energetic moments.

The combination of deep grooves, melodic textures, progressive structures and driving rhythms gives the event its musical direction.

Inspired by the Underground

TIMELAPSE takes inspiration from the underground electronic music scene.

Underground electronic culture is often associated with atmosphere, musical experimentation, carefully constructed sets and a strong connection between sound and audience.

TIMELAPSE brings this inspiration into a dedicated night at DND THE VENUE.

For listeners who enjoy discovering electronic music beyond conventional mainstream formats, the event provides a setting focused on musical curation and immersive sound.

Habitat, Siamese and Watergate Influences

The musical direction of TIMELAPSE draws inspiration from artists associated with Habitat, Siamese and Watergate.

These references help establish the type of electronic atmosphere audiences can expect.

The event brings together influences that can move through melodic, progressive, deep and driving electronic territory while retaining an underground-inspired identity.

The focus remains on the musical journey and the overall atmosphere rather than limiting the night to one narrow genre.

A Carefully Curated Night

Curation is central to the TIMELAPSE concept.

The event is designed around electronic music selections that work together to create a cohesive experience.

Rather than treating each track or section as completely separate, the night is intended to have a sense of continuity and progression.

The music can build, evolve and shift in energy as the evening continues, allowing the audience to become immersed in the overall soundscape.

A Musical Journey From First Beat to Last

The central idea behind TIMELAPSE is the journey created through electronic music.

From the opening beat, the music begins to establish the atmosphere.

As the night progresses, rhythms and melodies can evolve, creating changes in intensity and mood.

This approach allows listeners to experience the music as a continuous journey rather than simply a sequence of individual tracks.

The evening is ultimately designed around the relationship between sound, rhythm, movement and atmosphere.

Deep, Melodic and Progressive

The combination of deep, melodic and progressive elements creates a broad musical palette.

Deep sounds establish the foundation.

Melodic elements add atmosphere and musical character.

Progressive structures allow the music to evolve.

An Atmosphere Built Around Sound

Electronic music can transform the atmosphere of a venue.

TIMELAPSE is built around this relationship between sound and atmosphere.

The night is intended to allow the music to remain at the centre of the experience, with the audience moving through different sonic moods as the event progresses.

TIMELAPSE and the Art of Musical Progression

One of the compelling aspects of electronic music is its ability to develop over time.

A carefully constructed set can introduce a rhythm, layer additional sounds, shift the energy and gradually transform the atmosphere.

TIMELAPSE embraces this concept of progression.

The event is designed as a journey where the music can evolve naturally, allowing listeners to experience different textures, rhythms and energy levels throughout the night.

An Underground-Inspired Electronic Experience

The underground influence gives TIMELAPSE a distinctive identity.

The event's musical direction draws from the deeper and more atmospheric side of electronic music, with references to sounds associated with Habitat, Siamese and Watergate.

For audiences already familiar with these influences, the night offers a setting to connect with related musical ideas.

For newcomers, it provides an opportunity to explore another side of electronic music.

Music That Takes You Somewhere

The idea of a musical journey is central to TIMELAPSE.

Electronic music can create a sense of movement even when listeners remain in the same physical space.

A deep bassline can establish the foundation. A melodic layer can change the mood. A progressive transition can shift the energy. A driving rhythm can bring momentum to the dance floor.

TIMELAPSE brings these possibilities together into one carefully curated experience.
