About Event

Table for Eight – An Intimate Curated Dinner for Women in Their 40s
About the Event

Eight women. One table. Good food. Honest conversations. No agenda.

After spending the last three years in the events space, the creator of Table for Eight came to a simple realisation: women in their 40s deserve a space where they can simply be themselves.

That idea is at the heart of Table for Eight, a carefully curated dinner designed exclusively for eight women.

The experience creates a warm, intimate, and non-judgmental space where women can talk openly, laugh, vent, mingle, share stories, or simply enjoy good food and interesting company.

There is no fixed agenda for the evening.

There is no pressure to network.

There is no requirement to make a professional pitch or arrive with something to say.

Instead, the concept is simple: eight women, one table, good food, and the freedom to show up exactly as you are.

Conversations may move naturally between philosophy, music, business, relationships, family, life, or perhaps absolutely nothing in particular.

Whatever is on your mind is welcome.

The dinner is designed around genuine conversation and human connection rather than structured networking.

Come as you are. Share what you want. Laugh freely. Leave with new connections.

What Is Table for Eight?

Table for Eight is a curated dinner for eight women, created around the idea of intimate social connection.

Rather than bringing together a large crowd, the experience deliberately keeps the group small.

With only eight women around one table, participants have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and get to know the people sitting around them.

The smaller format is intended to create a setting where conversations can feel more natural and personal.

It is not a networking event where attendees are expected to introduce themselves through professional titles or exchange business pitches.

It is a dinner where you can simply arrive as yourself.

A Space for Women in Their 40s

The experience has been created specifically around the idea that women in their 40s need spaces where they can simply be.

Life in your 40s can involve many different roles and responsibilities.

There may be careers, relationships, family, friendships, changing priorities, personal ambitions, new questions, and completely new chapters of life.

Table for Eight creates a setting where those different parts of life can be discussed without requiring participants to fit into a particular identity.

You can talk about what is exciting you, what is frustrating you, what you are thinking about, or nothing serious at all.

There is room for every kind of conversation.

Eight Women, One Table

The defining feature of the experience is its deliberately small group size.

Only eight women.

A smaller table can create a more intimate environment than a large social event.

Instead of trying to meet dozens of people, participants have the opportunity to spend an evening getting to know a handful of women in a relaxed setting.

The idea is to allow conversations to develop organically rather than rushing through introductions.

The table becomes a shared space where everyone has the opportunity to participate, listen, laugh, and connect.

No Agenda

Table for Eight is intentionally designed without a fixed agenda.

There is no schedule of discussion topics that participants must follow.

The conversation can develop naturally depending on the people at the table and what they feel like discussing.

One moment may involve a thoughtful conversation about life or philosophy.

Another might turn towards music, business, family, relationships, or everyday experiences.

And sometimes, the best conversations are about absolutely nothing in particular.

There is no agenda.

No Pressure to Network

Traditional networking events often come with expectations.

You may be expected to introduce yourself professionally, explain what you do, exchange contact details, or look for opportunities.

Table for Eight takes a different approach.

There is no networking pitch.

You do not need to arrive prepared with a professional introduction or a business objective.

You can simply meet people and enjoy the evening.

If meaningful professional or personal connections naturally emerge from the conversation, that is welcome—but there is no pressure to make networking the purpose of the dinner.

No Judgment

The experience is designed as a non-judgmental space.

People arrive at a dinner table with different experiences, personalities, perspectives, and stories.

Table for Eight creates room for those differences.

You can speak openly, listen to someone else's perspective, laugh about everyday experiences, or simply enjoy being around people without worrying about being judged.

The emphasis is on creating an environment where participants can feel comfortable showing up as themselves.

Honest Conversations

Honest conversation is one of the central ideas behind the experience.

The dinner provides an opportunity to talk about the things that matter, the things that are confusing, the things that are funny, and the things that may simply be on your mind.

There is no expectation that every conversation needs to be deep.

Sometimes an honest conversation can be thoughtful.

Sometimes it can be funny.

Sometimes it can be a simple exchange between two people who discover that they have more in common than they expected.

Talk About What Matters to You

The range of possible conversation topics is intentionally broad.

You might find yourself talking about:

Philosophy
Music
Business
Relationships
Family
Life
Personal experiences
Everyday observations
New ideas
Things that have been on your mind

And there is no requirement to stick to any particular topic.

The conversation can move wherever the group naturally takes it.

A Dinner Built Around Connection

At its heart, Table for Eight is about connection.

The food creates the setting, but the people and conversations create the experience.

Sitting together around one table gives participants an opportunity to slow down, put aside their usual routines, and spend time getting to know others.

The intimate format can make it easier to move beyond small talk and discover shared experiences, different perspectives, and new friendships.

Good Food and Good Company

Food is an important part of the experience.

Sharing a meal naturally creates opportunities for conversation and connection.

At Table for Eight, the dinner becomes the backdrop for an evening of interaction.

You can enjoy your meal, participate in conversations, listen to different perspectives, and simply appreciate the experience of being around a table with a small group of women.

The combination of good food and good company is central to the concept.

A Place to Laugh and Vent

Not every conversation needs to be serious.

Table for Eight is also a place to laugh, vent, and relax.

You can talk about the funny things happening in your life, share frustrations, exchange stories, or simply enjoy a light-hearted evening.

The idea is to create enough freedom for the conversation to move naturally between thoughtful and playful moments.

Come Exactly as You Are

There is no particular version of yourself that you need to bring to the table.

You do not need to prepare a speech.

You do not need to have an impressive introduction.

You do not need to arrive with a networking goal.

The invitation is simply to show up exactly as you are.

That could mean arriving excited to meet new people, feeling curious, needing a break from routine, or simply wanting to enjoy a good dinner.

All of those reasons are welcome.

Come Alone and Meet New People

You do not need to know anyone attending the dinner beforehand.

The small-group format provides an opportunity to meet women you may not otherwise have crossed paths with.

Coming alone can be part of the experience because everyone at the table is there for the same basic reason: to share an evening, connect, and enjoy good conversation.

You may arrive as a stranger and leave having made a few new connections.

Build New Friendships

One of the potential outcomes of the dinner is the opportunity to develop new friendships.

When people spend an evening sharing stories and conversations, connections can develop naturally.

Some may become casual acquaintances.

Others may turn into friendships that continue beyond the dinner.

There is no expectation or pressure around this—the purpose is simply to create the space for connections to happen.

A Break From Everyday Routine

Modern life can be busy.

Between work, family, responsibilities, social commitments, and everyday tasks, it can be difficult to find time to simply sit down and talk.

Table for Eight creates an intentional pause.

For the duration of the dinner, participants can step away from their usual routine and focus on the people around the table.

It is an opportunity to slow down, eat well, talk freely, and enjoy the present moment.

A Different Kind of Social Dinner

Table for Eight is not designed as a large-scale networking mixer or conventional social gathering.

The small number of participants changes the character of the experience.

Instead of moving between dozens of conversations, you can stay at one table and allow the evening to unfold naturally.

This creates the possibility of deeper conversation and a stronger sense of shared experience.

Conversation Without Expectations

One of the most appealing aspects of an intimate dinner is that conversation does not have to follow a predetermined path.

A discussion about music might lead to a story about childhood.

A conversation about business might turn into a discussion about personal ambitions.

A light-hearted comment might become the beginning of a meaningful exchange.

That unpredictability is part of what makes the Table for Eight concept special.

A Space to Simply Be

The central idea behind Table for Eight is simple: you should not always have to be performing a role.

You can be a professional, a mother, a partner, a daughter, a friend, an entrepreneur, a creative, or any combination of identities.

But at the table, you can simply be yourself.

There is no requirement to impress anyone.

There is no expectation to have the perfect answer.

There is simply a group of women sharing a meal and an evening together.

The Philosophy Behind Table for Eight

The concept was created after three years of experience in the events space and a personal realisation about the need for more intimate spaces for women in their 40s.

Instead of building another large social event, the creator chose to focus on the opposite: a small table, a carefully curated group, and enough room for genuine conversation.

That philosophy shapes the entire experience.

The dinner is deliberately small, relaxed, and free from the expectations often associated with networking or structured events.

From Conversation to Connection

Connection does not always happen immediately.

Sometimes it begins with a simple introduction.

Sometimes it starts with a shared laugh.

Sometimes two people discover a common interest or realise they have experienced something similar.

By creating an environment where people have time to talk, Table for Eight gives those connections room to develop naturally.

An Evening for Women to Be Themselves

The dinner is ultimately an invitation to put aside expectations and enjoy an evening in good company.

You can talk.

You can listen.

You can laugh.

You can vent.

You can share.

You can simply enjoy your meal.

Whatever you bring to the table is welcome.
