About Event
Five years after the events of the original story, Kanupriya—known to everyone as Kannu—is preparing for her wedding in Jaipur. The celebration follows strict traditions, featuring a vegetarian, alcohol-free setting, conservative in-laws, and a room full of guests quick to judge.
Amid all the rules and expectations, the familiar gang of girls returns—ready to turn the occasion upside down in their own spirited way. A little older, but no less chaotic, they once again bring their energy, humour, and unbreakable bond to the forefront.
This sequel to the much-loved Akvarious production continues to celebrate female friendship with warmth and wit, while also exploring new-age challenges, evolving relationships, and changing perspectives on life.
Written by Dilshad Edibam and Tahira Nath, and directed by Prerna Chawla and Shikha Talsania, the production is supported by a creative team including set design by Parth Varshney, costumes by Pallavi Patel, lighting by Yael Crishna, and sound by Varrunn Bangera. It is produced by Akarsh Khurana and Saatvika Kantamneni.
A signature offering from Akvarious Productions, a Mumbai-based theatre company known for its contemporary, original storytelling, this play reflects their hallmark blend of humour, emotional honesty, and sharp social insight. Established in 2000, the company has created over 90 productions and performed more than 1800 shows across India and internationally, with appearances at major platforms including Shakespeare’s Globe, Prithvi Theatre Festival, Aadyam Theatre, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, and Serendipity Arts Festival.
